Chilling Fallout from the Sky!
Despite a general warming trend on a global scale, parts of the eastern Arctic are actually colling down. The 1991 eruption of Mt. Pinatubo in the Philipinnes contributed much of this cooling - and ultimately much of the hardship of thousands of Eider ducks. This volcano released large amounts of parcticles into the atmosphere, partially and temporarily blocking the sunlight around the world.
