Every year, the Canada-Wide Science Fair (CWSF) brings together 450 top young scientists from across Canada to compete in six categories. In 2002, Genome Canada gave its first award to participants in the Biotechnology and Life Sciences categories. Although there were many excellent projects related to genomics, eight awardees were chosen who represented regional science fairs from Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and British Columbia. They are featured here in the exhibition and in a special video relating the CWSF experience.
