Brrrr, it's cold outside, so warm up with some cool science at the museum on February 11 during the National Capital Region's annual Winterlude festival.

Visitors will learn about how Canadian plants and animals survive our frigid temperatures. Natural Resources Canada and Agriculture Canada will be on site from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm with great hands-on activities for the whole family. You can even learn about the important role that agricultural science plays from the farm gate to your plate.

Get into the winter spirit in Awesome Arctic: Images of Our Research in the North, and see the Arctic through the eyes of Canadian Museum of Nature researchers in an impressive selection of 50 photographs depicting scientific fieldwork in the North. Don't forget to stop by the contemporary art exhibition, Preternatural: Where Art and Nature Collide, which closes after February 12.
