Important eudialyte-bearing deposits include southern Greenland, the Kola Peninsula of Russia, Norway and Canada. |
Eudialyte was originally discovered in the Kangerdluarssuk region of southwest Greenland.
The renowned mineral-locality at Mont Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, hosts the two newest members of the eudialyte group. Mont Saint-Hilaire is one of the richest mineral localities in the world: 320 species have been found there.
Many of these species are extremely rare, so it is not surprising that the chemical composition of the eudialyte from this locality is also unique. |
