It's a good idea to mulch around foamflower in periods of drought. Like many woodland plants, it puts on quite a show in spring, and the frothy white flowers last for almost a month. The pretty maple-leaf shaped foliage stays green all summer long. The colour of the leaves ranges from light to dark green. Denser shade causes the leaves to go darker.
